I love rumors about the Apple tablet, slate, or whatever. And today seemed like a particularly good one with several mentions hitting TechCrunch and Giz. Engadget had a post suggesting NEC might be releasing something similar running Android, which could definitely be a winner based on the video of version 2.0 that was rolled out today. The great thing about this is the idea of the product allows publishers to leverage two things: the sense of eReader-like portability, and the power of harnessing the meta underlying our products. Particularly law books.
So forget about dumb, one-dimensional flexible eReaders. No, we want shiny, bright, and interactive.
