I’m (along with my boss and director of sales) going to be in Vegas for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles Annual Convention this week, and yes, we are going to be sporting some controversial t-shirts and … wait for it … K-Swiss Tubes. That’s just because we are badass. And you know what else? We’ll be on the Twitters, but guess what? We’ll be the only ones because as I’ve said many, many times before, lawyers aren’t on Twitter. Sure, there are some, but as a percentage of those that (really) practice it is infinitesimally small. This is one of the largest conventions for practicing attorneys (much like the Texas State Bar’s Advanced Family Law Conference), and there is almost zero conversation on Twitter right now.
So for all of you social media specialists who think Twitter is an important way to “connect,” I challenge you to find a way to get members of CAALA speaking on Twitter. I mean, really, it’s a defined group of individuals in just a few counties of California that have a limited practice focus. How hard can it be? Seriously, if you can’t get them online, who can?
*Cue maniacal laughter*
